Unwrapped toys needing attention

Toys, Toys and MORE toys! The library at Immaculata School is transformed into a sea of unwrapped toys, all sorted by age and gender, to make sure each child receives an appropriate toy. (Nothing could be more devastating to a 10 year old boy than to receive a Barbie doll for Christmas!) They all need to be wrapped, and will then be given to children who attend the Bounty dinner in the dining room, or delivered with the meals to those children who are not able to attend the dinner.

Wrapping Toys

Ok, let's get busy! Everyone pitches in and grabs wrapping paper, scotch tape, bows and ribbons.

Everywhere you look, toys are being wrapped. Christmas carols playing on the boom box, everyone is in a festive mood!

If there isn't enough room on the table, there's plenty of floor! Whatever it takes to, "Get'r done!"

Children wrapping toys.

There is a job for everyone, no matter how old or young you are. Children, especially, like to get involved, and seem to enjoy wrapping toys for other children.

All done!
All of the toys are soon wrapped!

With so many of Santa's helpers on the job, it doesn't take long before all of the unwrapped toys are wrapped and ready for delivery and to be given to the children who attend Bounty's Christmas Dinner!

Dr. Matthew Young's office at 1728 West Fifth Ave. in Hendersonville also serves as a toy drop-off point for Bounty Of Bethlehem if you happen to be in that area. See Doris in his office.

If you would like to donate a new, unwrapped toy or toys, or Christmas wrapping paper, tape, or ribbons, you can drop them off at the Immaculata School gymnasium any time from December 21, up until Christmas Eve. If you would like to volunteer to wrap toys, please attend the volunteer sign-up meeting at the school gymnasium. Details will be published in the local media prior to the event, or check the Schedule page. Note: We could really use gift certificates from local stores for children aged 10 - 13, and batteries, (sizes D, C, AA and AAA)
