It takes a certain "magic" to transform a gymnasium into a Christmas dining room, and that is exactly what the Dining Room Manager does every year. He is in charge of every aspect of the dining room, from the layout of the tables, the arrangement of the decorations on them, to coordinating a full "wait staff" on Christmas day.
Notice:If you are a returning volunteer who has served in the dining room in the past, please do not call Steve & Kandy Rice directly. Due to health reasons, they are not managing the dining room for Bounty's 2011 Christmas Day Dinner. Please call the volunteer call-in line at 693-5115 and leave a message. Thanks.
The entire gymnasium is transformed into a dining room. Christmas trees, festive decorations and the nativity centerpiece must all be set up.
The real reason for the season.
Serving Christmas Dinner - Everyone who attends the Bounty Of Bethlehem Christmas Dinner is treated to a dining experience second to none.
Enjoying Christmas dinner! This is the result of all of the donations received, and all of the volunteers' hard work. Is it really worth all the effort? You bet!!!
One man, one guitar, two Apple computers and a sound system. You would swear you were hearing a 5 or 6 piece band! Tom Brown has donated his time to provide the entertainment at Bounty's dinners for the last several years. He will be returning again this year to provide entertainment to enhance your dining pleasure.
If you would like to volunteer to help in the dining room, either with the setup, decoration, to serve on Christmas day, or to help clean the dining room the day after, call the Bounty Of Bethlehem volunteer line (which will be activated shortly before Thanksgiving) at 693-5115 and select option 2. You may also attend the volunteer sign-up meeting on at the Immaculata School gymnasium. More information will be published in the local media prior to the event, or you may check the Schedule page for details. Remember, without volunteers, there would be no Bounty Of Bethlehem Christmas Dinner.
Notice:At this time, all positions to serve tables in the dining room on Christmas day have been filled. No more servers are needed. The kitchen staff still needs volunteers, so you might consider visiting the kitchen page and volunteering there. Remember, without volunteers, there would be no Bounty Of Bethlehem Christmas Dinner.
